WEDNESDAY

Its already mid recess week! A little too fast! Nonetheless i am still very appreciative that this is the week where i can avail myself to actually enjoy some home cooked food. Ever since school started, i have yet to sit down and properly have a meal around an actual dining table, around an actual living room. (So sad right, i know)

Now this below is from my favourite noodle stall in Singapore. Well not because it really is the best (might be?) but because i have been eating it since i was so young, i cannot remember when. Ah Boon Fishball noodle stall!
And below is what you call "bee tai mak" noodles or mouse tails noodles, because it looks like mouse tails. Dont you think? Such a weird name.
But either ways, i had a fun time reminiscing while eating this bowl of noodles. (:
And that seemed to be all that mattered.

I headed on to finish an NM2208 assignment at Clara's house. Afterwhich, she very nicely made me some indonesian noodles! And i must emphsize, indonesian cup noodles. Something about my friends, we tend to bring home instant noodles as souvenirs from other countries. What it is about instant noodles really? haha
So this instant noodles is from indonesia, a little too spicy and sour for my liking. Once in a while is fine, having this everyday will kill.

Clara then decided to customize it to add a sunny side egg for me. So sweet.

She also told me that putting a lid over helps cook the top nicely without burning the top. I never knew! I wonder who actually thought of this. I bet it was a scientist. I really think we should look into food and science development in sc2215 as well. Must be very interesting to learn all about how science has contributed to new technologies and development in cooking, as in kitchens per say.

Her maid also fried crackers, also known as keropok. So i conveniently added some it to my noodles. Different textures of the food come so nicely together. (:

Now for dinner, my maid made her own wanton noodles, wrapped it herself, marinated the meat herself, boiled the soup herself, boiled the wantons herself and fried them too!
All homemade! As full as i was, i had to give it try still.
Plus, it was in line with my binging habit. (sigh)

Something about homecooked food really does have a very big difference to food bought outside. Taste, presentation, atmosphere, everything! Its so hard to describe the differences sometimes. Its like trying to describe a feeling of being in love or something.
