COOKING TUT! : D

Cooking tutorial was a little bit of a hassle but it turned out to be extremely fun.
My group decided to be a little ambitous and cook curry chicken!
Thanks to Lisa who opened up her wonderful house for us!
As you can tell from the picture, we bought baguettes for a dip and made a yoghurt fruit salad as well!

However, i personally do not have desserts after my meals. Somehow it just seemed as though dessert was a mandatory to complete a "meal".
I think this alone says a lot about how we have become so accustomed to "eating out", whereby the choices presented to us, are always packaged as with a "starter", "main" and then "desserts"

This picture below is of us in the cooking process.
I really love the colours of curry actually. Even the raw pinkish colour of the uncooked chicken.
I always love being in the kitchen, so it comes for naturally for me to be more daring in chores such as touching the chicken, removing the fats, cutting slimy vegetables like lady;s fingers, and chopping onions.

I know many of my group mates, or rather, i think the rest of them, dont cook at home very often. So it was very fun to watch them work themselves and orientate themselves around the kitchen actually. ahha
It was a pretty cute sight, so they needed to many plates and bowl and plastic bags, etc etc. And how there were so many hands at once, all trying to stir fry the chicken.
We used the paste to make the gravy, yet we took about 40 minutes in total.
I think my maid is superwoman now. Thinking of how she can magically cook so many dishes within such a short period of time, single-handedly, without a recipe, and yet make it still so delicious.

Funny, all the people that i know can cook, do not go to university. Or hate studying.
So can i say education has caused the de-skilling of food preparation? Or am i too ambitious? haha
