I decided to choose Dental Health, afterall, i work at a dental clinic. Must as well right?
Basically, the posters is trying to depict a person who always cancels his/her dental appointment and fails to see the importance of a dental appointment. This person always prioritizes other things over dental health, leading to severe dental caries as seen in the picture. In fact, this is not the worst case of dental caries i know ( since i work in a dental clinic and have seen the "world"), and trust me, i pretty much know how gross bad dental hygiene is.
However, sometimes fear appeals are counter productive. Consumers of the image see it as majorly photoshopped or too unrealistic or too rare to happen to them. But since this assignment requirement is inclined to the UGLY side, and to create fear. i thought this picture would draw a fine balance. Plus the phenomenon of people cancelling their dental appointments and prioritizing something over, it EXTREMELY common. (and i know again, because i do not like, and doctors do not like it when patients cancel their appointment last minute)
So here goes another assignment! YES!
