Specifically this Saturday, where the boundary might have been crossed. One too many times.
I haven't met Mersa or Feng for the longest time ever since i went off traveling, so when we finally have the chance to meet for lunch again, i decided to choose a place where we can have good fellowship with good food.
After thinking and searching for so long, i decided to give a shot at this highly acclaimed YTF (Yong Tau Foo) stall at Amk Food Centre Blk 724.
As weird as this may sound, the minute i saw this long intense queue of hungry faces, i was indeed satisfied with my choice. (:
I love how it made me so spoilt for choice, so nervous trying to pick out my meal amongst frequent and hungry customers and how the stall owner was so unfriendly and aloof.
And when it comes to food, i love how the serve chee cheong fun as an alternative for rice!

I know this stall is so famous, i'm obliged to praise it. But i do have to voice out my dislike on the bitter gourd, being too bitter for consumption.
Otherwise, PERFECTO.
I dont know if you already can tell by now, i love hawker centres. And i never want to see the government slowing taking over, converting each "dirty", "smoky" hawker centre, into food courts and food halls. Or whatever they do to make it "upscale". ugh
i might dream of this YTF tonight. the chilli, the sauce, the chee cheong fun, the fried meat. mmmmmmmm
Later at night, after church, my leader, who is the absolute opposite of a domestic goddess offered to cook us dinner at her pad. 3 dishes and 1 soup.
Now look at this amazing feast really. Sometimes people forget that good food comes not only from its taste, but good food can also come from the heart. And the fellowship from eating together is really what makes the icing on the cake.
That's why i like to say : the way to a person's heart (or at least mine) is the stomach. (:
