this is
chinese contemporary art at it's best.
the whole series which yue minjun specialises is called " smiling man " , and its suppose to represent a cynical realism in our modern world of new found materialism and economic redefinition.
i dont know why, but its just so appealing. i like how he is smiling so hard he looks miserable and how there is pop-art style to it.
